Mysterie van de dag
The Guardian komt vandaag met een bizar verhaal uit Australië dat leest als een filmscript en doet denken aan A cry in the dark. Keli Lane, een veelbelovend water-poloster, kreeg drie kinderen zonder dat ook maar iemand in haar omgeving daar iets van merkte.
"It has amazed her former water-polo team-mates, who are now forced to confront the fact that Lane, an Olympic hopeful, was, at one point, swimming competitively alongside them when she was seven months' pregnant. In fact, when she excelled at the junior world water-polo championships in Quebec in 1995, she did so shortly after giving birth to her first child, also a girl."
Dat is al bijzonder maar vormt niet de kern van het raadsel: She claims she gave all of them up for adoption. But did she?
